Bored? Read me!

Hey everybody!

I was wondering what my friends are doing in their holidays. First of all, if you are busy, you really don't need to read this post because this post will be about what to do in your holidays! So let's begin!

  • Do homework. I know we all used to love it when it was coloring or something but you gotta do it!
  • Do something new. You can play a guitar, get a new pet or get some indian fashion into that wardrobe from RoohSah (For more information on RoohSah, please see: www.facebook.com/roohsah.) You can basically do anything you prefer!
  • Invite guests. I enjoy having some people to interact with so this is one of my favorite things to do.
  • Practice your talent or hobby. After relaxing and finishing off everything, you can do this!
  • Arrange a get-together. It may be with your friends, family...just about anyone BUT NEVER  strangers! Strangers can be strange and spooky!
  • Travel somewhere. You can go to your country or maybe a new one.
Yep! That was what I would do in the holidays. Are you enjoying yours? What have you done until now? And what do you think about this topic? Please leave your answers in the comments!

Happy Holidays,
B.

Being Neat, Tidy and Healthy: Top Tips!

Hey everyone!

My last post's topic was about my Journey To Kalba! Today I will talk to you about "Staying Tidy". Does that ring a bell to anyone? I bet all of you are already very neat but some people at school call me 'tidy', I don't really understand them. I mean, everyone is trying their best to be clean, right?

Through this post, I will explain what I do to be clean and well-organized. So let's begin! Here are some tips I gathered up for you:

  • Brush your teeth every morning and night. I know this one is sort of...well, babyish but you must do it. That's why they tell babies to do it, too in kindergarten (so that they get used to it).
  • Comb your hair neatly. You can also find a haircut that suits your personality the best (like I did....well, I guess so...).
  • Keep your nails well-trimmed.  Try to do this every Friday. I use a nail cutter in this process.
  • Shower everyday.  Make sure to scrub well! You should shower everyday BUT do NOT wash your hair everyday! This can cause dryness. You should shampoo every alternate day. Shampoo, rinse and condition them well so that you have silky, shiny and smooth hair!
  • Organize your things. Keep everything in it's place or you'll forget where it was and get angry.
  • Eat healthy. You should do this to prevent spots coming on your face and eating healthy also keeps your blood good. And one thing I can suggest is to eat junk food ONLY ONCE IN A MONTH. I know that stinks but try to do it to be healthy.
Those were some Top Tips for you. I hope you understood everything I explained above. In case you didn't you can always leave a comment down there and I will be happy to help you!

Happy Health,
B.

Journey to Kalba!

Hi everyone! It's been an awesome weekend with my family so I decided to share my experience with you!

First of all, before we left, we had to pack up all our clothes and stuff. So that was done pretty quick. Then Dad got the car. I met my cousins when we were about to leave.

Well all I can say is...it was a long ride. Not as long as Manali, India (which I might tell you about later) but it was about 3-4 hours because we stopped for prayers, refreshments and petrol for the car. In between, me and my sister were making awesome videos which are now memories. While we were sitting, we danced...GANGNAM STYLE! To see the original video from PSY, click here. And that was an awesome video.

Other than my family, Dad's colleague and his family came along, too.

After a long ride, we finally reached "Breeze Motel". Breeze Motel is the motel that Dad and his colleague booked for us to stay in. And it was full of cats! Cats everywhere! I loved that but I missed my cat, Cloudy (who was at home, probably sleeping at this time).

As you can imagine, we were really tired and hungry. We all went to Pizza Hut and KFC. Mom got a twister from KFC and the rest of us got 2 pizzas. The cheese in Kalba is better. It's more.........cheesy.

After this meal, we slept for about 2 hours and woke up at evening. We wanted to look at the sunset but we were too late. Mom said that it's not a problem! We can watch the sunrise tomorrow morning! I was happy and excited. But that's not all we did that day.......we also went to the beach and let the water flow around our feet. Then, when we got back, we went outside and had a midnight picnic. It was BUCKETS OF FUN! I was sitting there, listening to Gangnam Style, when suddenly I connected the tablet to internet! Mom started looking at Facebook and it was soon time to sleep.

Next morning, we woke up for Fajr prayer and we went straight to the beach to look at the sunrise. We had to wait for a while but it was all worth the wait.....MaShaAllah! It was beautiful! Truly, only Allah can make such a pretty sunrise. After that, we went to one of my uncle's house and had a great meal with them. We also talked about Mr. Twitter King! (You know who you are, Batty.)

Are you still reading?! For me? How sweet of you! I would be glad if you read it all. Thank you Mom and Dad for such an awesome weekend! Thank you very much!

I think that was LOTS for today! Bye guys!

Be nice,
B.

Eid Mubarak!

Hello everyone!

I would like to wish you all a wonderful Eid Holiday! Today is the last day of Eid and I want to share my experience with you!

Day 1 (Friday 26 October 2012): Today, we went to my uncle's house and had lunch. It was great to have fun together (I wish my cousins in India could be here...). Mum gave Eid gifts like toys, clothes and stuff like that
(and I got gifts, too!). My cousins played with me and when we were tired, we stopped. Soon, it was time to eat dinner. After we had dinner, we waved goodbye to each other.

Day 2 (Saturday 27 October 2012): Mum and Dad took me and my sister to the Bowling Centre and it was so much fun! Dad was taking the lead when Mum started to bowl! My sister was bowling pretty good. Well, as for me, I was taking the lead...from the other way! Then we went to the park and had a quick picnic. It was hot but it was windy, too. After that, we went home to rest.

Day 3 (Sunday 28 October 2012): Well, that is today! And today, I am blogging!

My Eid started and ended with FUN. Thank you everyone for making this Eid an epic one!

Happy Eid,
B.

5 Kilo Meters Race!!

Hi everybody! Yesterday, my sister, Maleeha, was running 5 kilo meters in the Fun Run! She came 3rd in her age group (14-16). I looked at how blood red her face was (Well, that is her favourite colour!). She finished the run in 44 minutes and that's great! Next time, I will participate, too.

The event  Marathon 2012 was conducted by Zayed Sports City! Well, I'd like to say ZSC did an awesome job!If you want to know more about this "Fun Run"or Abu Dhabi activities, go to www.abudhabistriders.com and www.zsc.ae.

So yup! I hope you will participate and don't ever forget: It's not about winning...it's all about participating. Speaking of that, if someone wins, it doesn't mean that you lose! Just like if you don't believe me, doesn't mean that I'm lying! So always remember that. You will never walk out as a loser....but as a participator. I hope that helped!

Keep Smiling,
B.

Think Pink for Breast Cancer!

Hey Everybody!

This month, October, is all about Breast Cancer Awareness. So show your support by wearing a pink ribbon! I wanted to write this post because my Mum bought me a little badge of breast cancer from Lifestyle when I was 7....now I'm turning 11 on October 22 . I still wear it no matter what month it is. Here it is...

.
I was always excited to wear this badge. Let's go back to the topic: Breast Cancer!  Let's learn how we can prevent from getting  this disease...

1. By keeping a healthy BMI. BMI stands for Body Mass Index. It shows the thinness and thickness of our body. We need to eat healthy food and stuff to keep a healthy BMI.

2. Eating even more fruits and vegetables. I think all of you know this point! But I will give examples: Fruits: Oranges, Cherries, Strawberries. Vegetables: Carrots, Peas, Cabbage.

3. Regular Exercise. You have to exercise at least 5 times a week for 45 minutes.

4. Stay Positive. Sleep about 8 hours everyday to B+.

So those are the things you should do to prevent getting Breast Cancer. You can get a check-up for Breast Cancer here:

It's free for women! Lots of Breast Cancer Awareness programs are happening.(Source Abu Dhabi Week, Capital's Magazine)

Phew! That was a LONG post! Bye for now!
Be Positive,
B.
